Inside mount requires 1.5" minimum window depth, we suggest deduct 0.25" for install security gap. For outside mount, the width you purchase is exactly the width you get. For more blackout, we suggest adding 4" to the width and height. Mounting hardware & Install instruction included, very easy to install.
